When these routers were too obsolete for the Personal Telco Project, Russell figured out a smaller build that would allow the Futel VPN client to be crammed in there. The e-waste cycle is depressing but we are proud to be the last step, squeezing the last juice out of so many devices long after the intended path was for them to be discarded.
