After attending the SF Grammy Chapter’s Producer & Engineer Listening Session of Bill Fontana’s Resonance at Grace Cathedral I was inspired to mic up my artificial heart valve and not pick up my bass. Kenny brought no “musical” instruments and Pepe toured the world with various hand percussion and a contact mic’d ride cymbal.
I’m hoping to bring this to a gallery space so you can all come vibrate with us. No construct, preconceptions, leaving the familiar behind (that’s why I didn’t pick up my bass).
