We got the band back together!
Inkx, DR, and I were Junk (w/Faff), then post junk trio, seven wonderful records that are still available and still very dear to my ears and heart. I'd been hounding Inkx for years to get set up for remote sessions, and he finally did. This track is the result.
Sadly, shortly after we tracked it, Inkx lost everything in the LA fires. I'm happy to report that he and his family have successfully relocated to Woodstock, NY, and he plans to be back up and running remotely soon. More colabs to come!
When I sent Inkx this track, he emailed back "That gorilla knuckle bass made me fall off my chair!" I can hear it in his beautiful South African accent, it had me laughing out loud then and now.
