A man wanted on an attempted-murder charge out of British Columbia was arrested in Fredericton this week, and he’s been remanded pending the execution of the warrant from out west.
Christian James MacLean, 29, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Thursday morning in person and in custody, but he wasn’t facing any charges from this jurisdiction.
Instead, the Langley, B.C., detachment of the RCMP charged him with attempting to murder Lily Do Ly by assaulting her with a weapon; breaking and entering into a Davis Crescent home in Langley and therein committing an assault; assaulting Lily Do Ly by carrying, using or threatening to use a weapon; and having his face masked during the commission of an offence.
