Yeshua as My Example

When I see Yeshua as Himself. the Son appointed, authorized, and exalted by God, it does not lessen my honor for Him. It actually deepens it.

It lets me honor Him the way Scripture presents Him. As the faithful Son, the promised Messiah, the Davidic King, the Kinsman-Redeemer, the obedient servant, the one who trusted God perfectly, obeyed fully, suffered faithfully, and was exalted by God.

If He is reduced to simply “God in flesh,” I struggle with what happens to His agency, His obedience, and His faithful human participation. Was He truly obeying as the Son of Man, or was God simply acting as God?

And if He was simply God acting as God, then I can admire Him, yes. But can I really see Him as the perfect human example I am called to follow in Scripture?

To me, seeing Yeshua as the appointed and exalted Son God calls Him preserves something beautiful for me. He shows us what faithful humanity before God is meant to look like.

Not a lesser Messiah.

A truly honored one.
