This one took me a while to put together because —- wait for it —- there are a lot of jobs out there for comedy people. And more coming. I truly believe it. Here are some indicators:
⚠️ Free Puppies Creative is developing a scripted series for a client. When I started in comedy, I wrote scripts, then begged networks to buy them. No longer so. Now, brands and sometimes even business clients actively want to make something funny. The money is there, the interest is there, and gatekeepers really aren’t in the way they once were. Very exciting.

Snapchat is doing the Lord’s work sharing the same facts I’ve been shouting from rooftops (metaphorically speaking, but also would!): 90% of people are more likely to remember a funny brand, half of Gen-Z don’t feel connected to a brand until it makes them smile or laugh, etc.

If you’re new here, I spent a long time doing very stupid jobsto pay the bills that I wasn’t very good at while doing and writing comedy for free in the margins of my day and night. It wasn’t a good system and left me broke and burned out.
So, don’t do that. Here’s a round-up of “comedy people jobs”. Meaning, paid open roles that I feel confident comedy writers could easily do.

🚨 A hip agency wants comedy creators and comics who create (sounds the same, but it isn’t!) for lo-fi sketches skewering the real estate industry. Paid per script, fast turnaround from pitch to shoot. This is a fun one, and I would do it myself if I felt more camera-ready. Rate not listed, so name yours. 🚨 Video Village, the creative residency in Pennsylvania where the filmmakers live in one house together, is back and needs a Producer's Assistant to help it happen. Rate is $15.00 an hour, fulltime, with housing and meals provided. 🚨 Somebody (mysterious!) in New York wants a Podcast Producer and Final Cut Pro Editor for a weekly show for "end-to-end post-production and episode delivery on a strict weekly schedule." Part-time, remote but NYC-metro based. Pitch your own rate, and go from there. Apply here
Netflix has an Expression of Interest open for its Animation Incubator. "Expression of interest" means no job exists yet, but they're collecting names for when one does, and you want to be on that list before you need to be. Los Angeles. Apply here

🚨 A new digital series is casting a Male Comedy Content Creator / Twitch Streamer as its comedic host. It’s a hidden-camera, Punk’d thing shot on Southern California college campuses.
