It’s not necessarily the fact that Republicans lost in solid Blue states, it was the margin of victory by which the Democrats—over solid, competent Republican candidates—destroyed them. I figured that most of the Republicans would lose; the tidal pool of a Red wave in 2022 taught us that Democrats are gonna Democrat, regardless their candidates, regardless the situation.

Still, one would believe that some of the positives that have come from the president’s administration would have given some pause on Democrating too much, but even the putrid dog kicker that ran for Attorney General in Virginia won. Long live the socialists! Death to Republicans is now de rigueur.

It has been my belief—for quite a while now—that what is living and breathing within the Democrat Party is itching for a civil war. My simplistic analysis concerning that party is that the Baby Boomer generation took control of the Democrats and demanded national power, even if it meant prying it from our cold, dead hands.

And they succeeded in grasping that power. They’ve lorded over all of the institutions revered as the lynchpin to a stable society and they’ve spiked them with poison.

As these temper-tantrum-throwing degenerates from a bygone era aged, they refused to train and promote good people—or even anyone with a pulse—to replace them before the call went out to Visiting Angels. It created a vacuum and as a result, the party is left with dolts like Hakeem Jefferies, Gavin Newsome, and Kamala Harris in key leadership positions, all simps cowering from their own shadows as they scramble ahead of the mob. Their leadership is as limp as a… well, you can figure that one out for yourselves.

The Democratic Socialists have successfully pried the power from the cold, dead hands of Nancy Pelosi: long live the Queen! They look at people like Pelosi, Schmucky Schumer, Joe Biden, and even Barrack Obama as necessary evils. Not a one of them officially backed Zohran Mamdani. They will pay for the slight. And poor Barry, he fundamentally changed America, as promised, and handed it over to these Jacobins; he might be one of the first to face the guillotine; totalitarian revolutionaries usually dispose of their useful idiots first.

Careerist Democrats are going to have to choose between the barbarians and the hollow shell of traditional liberalism; unfortunately, the liberals were drummed out of the party when the progressives took charge, now that the progressives may be on the chopping block, where do they go from here?

Simplistically, again, I believe that moderate Democrats—if there is such a beast—should join with Republicans to win elections and deny these socialists a future. Hatred for the Orange Monster will keep them from doing so and that is unfortunate, especially since the president has already pulled some moderate Democrats into his populists’ agenda. Love of country should always win over hatred for a political opponent. These socialists don’t share a love of country with most of us. In fact, that’s the point: they want total destruction of anything that was.

Conservative and moderate refugees from Blue states are loading up the covered wagons and heading to the sanctuary of Red states. There is some anecdotal evidence that the reverse may be happening, but the standard of living in Red states is increasing while socialist states are in decline; Red state progressives are probably just fine residing where they can still earn a living while cheering on from afar. However, it appears there may be a great sorting where leftists go left and the right goes right, an ingredient for some sort of civil disturbance; battle lines are forming.

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

The election of 2024 gave those who are not firmly entrenched on the Left a sense of hope; there seemed to be a reckoning of fantasy with common sense. Thus far, common sense has been winning.

Alas, it is all an illusion. It could be that there are many in those two Blue states who have yet to see their economic wellbeing improve, and the economy usually predicts the winner. The habit in Blue states is continually to turn left in times of stress.

There was always sanctuary for the economically depressed to be had in the Democrat Party. For many, that party was like a good, well worn-in pair of shoes that always kept your feet warm, dry, and comfortable while walking the proverbial mile. The party’s sole (and soul) is worn through now; the shoes don’t keep your feet snug and warm and the hole soaks your socks every time you step in a puddle. Maybe like in the depression era, you slide in a piece of cardboard to cover the hole and keep trudging on through the mud, and keep voting Democrat because they promise you new shoes.

In Trump’s America, the future economy looks bright; new companies are relocating and new factories are supposed to be going up all around the United States. These promise good jobs, a good life, a home that is your castle, and a family that keeps you grounded and fulfilled; it was the promise of the American Dream; it is what keeps society civil.

It is now, however, a promise that will be hard to keep. Without breaking ground anytime soon, employment from new factories may not be realized until the 2028 election cycle has passed. During that time, the suffering that many are still experiencing after the ill-fated Biden régime will only magnify. Consumer debt is at an all-time high and the eventual default is but one of many economic shocks awaiting us as the nation turns 250 years old.

Further, the Supreme Court is poised to take tariffs off the table as a bargaining hammer. President Trump’s grand scheme will, unfortunately, crumble if that happens. Leftist lawfare uses the justice system to crush opponents and the American people are being crushed.

This is nothing new concerning leftism. We just passed the hundred year anniversary of the Progressive Era that weakened the foundation of the Constitution. A central bank, income taxes, and popularly elected senators gave us the professional bureaucracy, a permanent congress that no longer answers to its constituencies, and a Wall Street casino where the house always wins. The failures of progressives long ago have echoed throughout the halls of history and paved the way for the socialist success.

Socialism is a mind virus and it is something that has spread unabated state-to-state as progressives took over the largest cities in smaller states to turn them Blue. We all have seen electoral maps showing how each county has voted. It’s all red except in the major cities and that’s exactly about what Thomas Jefferson warned:

“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become corrupt as in Europe, and go to eating one another as they do there.”

Only the prepared keep their heads as civil strife engulfs the festering discontent.

We’ve been concerned that a Civil War is just over the horizon; I’m sorry, but it’s already here. Red states defy Blue decrees; Blue states threaten revolution. The violence is already in the streets and it’s perpetrated by the same people who just voted for Democratic Socialists on November 4th.

We are divided and, I fear, irreparably so.
