Two with One

Here are two versions of the same pose.

It may seem trivial or subtle, but it allows us to see how we approach the image in front of us.

Sometimes, it can come down to a single detail, its presence or absence changes everything. Here, it could be the hand, whether it’s present or absent. It can also stem from the format: the vertical or horizontal orientation demands different interpretations and compositions. Only his gaze seems to remain the same, like a center, which could invite us to somewhere else…

Before I forget, I used the same Pentel brush pen, which can be easily found in any art supply store. Once again, it’s also two with one.
