When God spoke to me in the spring of 2023 and told me to write a book about my life, I do believe He told me that He was going to use it to bring me into my purpose. But even though I believed what He said, there’s always been a little bit of doubt if I really heard His Voice and the questioning in my mind what it’ll look like and if it’s really going to happen this time.
Since I’ve been waiting on some of my prophetic promises for over 30 years now, it sometimes feels challenging to ‘stand on His promises’. But the fact that everything that has happened around my book/auto biography really feels like ‘it all just happened to me’ is a confirmation that it could’ve only been God doing it.
A German speaking (Austrian/Belgian) friend of mine with whom I was talking about my book, offered me to translate it into German. It kind of blew me away, since I’d never thought about that even being an option. I hesitated a little at first and mentioned to him that, because of my 3 years of ministry school (having been in the USA on a international student Visa and not allowed to work) having spend all my savings, I wasn’t going to be able to pay him for doing this.
“Not a problem at all, I’ll do it for you for free”, he responded! Feeling uncomfortable but tremendously blessed by his offer, I felt led to accept it. Since that day, every time I’ve shared this testimony, there was someone listening that I didn’t know or had ever met before. Even in the restroom at church, hearing a sudden voice of someone that had been listening to my testimony, offering me to translate my book in another language. This has been ‘mind blowing’ to me, how people that didn’t know me at all, felt led to translate my book in several different languages.
It’s been quite the journey but because of them, and of course my own efforts to edit and publish them, today my book is already available in 3 different languages (Dutch, English and German). And someone is still working on the Portuguese and Spanish translations that will hopefully follow soon!
There’s also an E-version available and soon I’ll be recording an audio version of my book as well, which is another exciting journey that I’m on! So, even though y’all haven’t heard from me in quite a while, there’s been lots of positive progress!
