Bringing the Noise to BOUND

Only Human: BOUND is a ten-episode sci-fi audio serial with voice actors, layered sound design, and a hard-rocking signature anthem. It carries the spirit of classic sci-fi serials like Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Flash Gordon, and War of the Worlds, updated with a modern edge.

The anthem comes from DoDriver, a riff-driven rock band out of Buffalo, NY, featuring Jody Velletta on vocals, Mike Trabucco on guitar, Chris Elardo on bass, and Mark Conlon on drums. Their sound is rooted in rock with a hard and pop sensibility earned over decades of playing music.

I first met Jody in the late 1980s, in high school, when our paths crossed in track and football. We became friends at practice when we discovered we both loved all kinds of metal: Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, KISS, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Metallica, Ozzy, Twisted Sister. It was truly a golden age for headbangers.

DoDriver has had an amazing run. Over the years, they've played Los Angeles' legendary Whisky a Go Go, a nine-show mini tour of Puerto Rico, and crossed the Atlantic for a twelve-show run through the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Austria, and beyond. They've shared stages with Queensrÿche, Soul Asylum, Finger Eleven, Staind, Smash Mouth, and Quiet Riot, among many others.

In August 2010, after winning a Guitar Center contest, they earned the honor of opening for KISS, hand-picked by the band itself. Their latest album, Bound By the Sound, carries eleven tracks forward in that same tradition of energetic, deceptively difficult craftsmanship.

Now, nearly 40 years since Jody and I met, I'm thrilled to bring back some of the noise and announce that a DoDriver track isn't just connected to Only Human: BOUND. It's woven directly into the production and featured in our official trailer below.
