PRE-SCRIPTUM: milan design week opinion out next week. we need a min. to digest this year. but it’s POSITIVE (does that shock you?)
Dear Readers,
THIS IS A LITTLE PREVIEW OF SOME “FOR SCALE IN PRINT ISSUE 3” sh*t which will be first available at the AFTERNOON LIGHT at WSA in new york city on May 16
Many great pals of “FOR SCALE” are unenviably unable to publicly express their very learned opinions because their TOP TIER EMPLOYMENT STATUS requires a certain diplomacy.
Enter: THE “ANONYMOUS INTERVIEW”, wherein we provide a release from BRAND OATH BONDAGE and the DIPLOMACY NEEDED AS A RESULT OF PERSONAL PROFILE and allow the ‘POWER PLAYER’ to gab freely.
Today: a person very much in charge of “THE NARRATIVE”. The voice of décor has often passed through, or been propelled by, P.R. And, frankly, they must endure and reshape a lot of ego, and field sh*t ideas, and small-talk with vapid influencers or vapid clients or vapid customers, et cetera. And the question is: what parts are worth the effort?
THIS IS PART V. (All other parts are here: THE COLLECTION: ANONYMOUSLY INTERVIEWED INDUSTRY POWER PLAYERS.)
“If that is edited out, I’m never helping you with anything again. I guess we know this isn’t [REDACTED FOUNDER OF SAID PR AGENCY]. I’m not [REDACTED].”
and
“… the independence is particularly potent, you know? In a world where the Washington P*st ownership has eroded virtually all of its journalistic integrity or at least perceived journalistic integrity. Now like anything else – like podcasts or, you know, bad cafés – there’s too many.” (ABOUT WHOM DO THEY SPEAK? SEE BELOW.)
and
“So you think you ‘Think Locally,’ because the borough you live in asks you to compost – yeah, well, whoopee ding ding.”
