Sprout company recalls products linked to 15-state outbreak

Everything Sprouts LLC of Minneapolis, MN, is recalling three varieties of alfalfa sprouts products because they have been linked to a 15-state outbreak of Shiga toxin producing E. coli (STEC) and/or Salmonella. The recalled products were distributed by Everything Sprouts from May 27 to Aug. 21 to wholesale

A recall is not proof the system worked. It is a notice, sent after the fact, usually by the company that failed, telling you that something already went wrong and you may have eaten it. Calling this a good year for recalls is not a defense of the FDA. It is an insult to the people counted in it.
