Immich recognized this person in ~200 photos. Funny thing is, that it is all over the place and many different people seem to resemble this face . The kids are having fun trying to spot which person in each image Immich thinks looks like a tire. 😅

🤬 Nothing makes me more mad than a payment dispute for a renewal payment where the customer clearly forgot to cancel their subscription in time. A simple email would have sorted this without the dispute fees! I don t know what it is, but I don t like taking pictures with a smartphone. Every few years, whenever I get a new phone, I try using the (latest and greatest™) camera to take photos, but I ve never warmed up to it. Finally got around to setting up Syncthing to sync files between my Linux machine and my Mac. Not sure why it took me this long. It works like a charm and transfers files almost instantly over my local network. This will make working on both machines so much easier.
I ve been using Whereabouts for a couple of weeks now, to learn to identify all the countries on the world map. It is pretty fun and I am learning a lot. It also triggered a couple of deep dives into countries I knew nothing about. E.g. Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland) and its absolute monarch ruler , who has 11+ wives . Sounds like a standup kinda guy…

I have no idea who this Ken guy is (the only US sport I like to follow sometimes is basketball, couldn t care less about the rest) and I have no interest in golf whatsoever – but following a photographer around, covering a (seemingly very prestigious) event is right up my alley. I just automatically checked the mailbox at our old house. I ve been doing this for years while walking past it – slipping my hand into the slot to feel whether anything was in there. Did it without thinking, even though it s no longer our mailbox . Funny how that works.

I suspect that the atmosphere you create at beyond tellerrand – and especially the people (speakers and attendees alike) have a lot of influence on what I end up capturing. I just feel very at home . Got another skate session in before the coming rain. The algorithm might not be wrong in that I would actually really love to learn it! I am pretty good on my inline skates… and I didn t immediately fall down, when I stood on Lumi s board. 😎 Plus I am definitely not (too) old!

The only time I ever hear the fan going off in my MacBook – M1 Pro, from 2022, still very happy with it – is when importing a huge number of Fuji images into Lightroom. Does not happen with Leica files. 🤷♂️

The move is finally done. There are little bits and bobs left, some conveniences of life need to still be installed, but the last main thing that was missing, which was our kitchen, is now done. And slowly, I feel like I have a bit more capacity for things that are not strictly family or work.
