Paul Flannery · Hoopology

If one was feeling bullish on the Celtics draft in late June, we are now feeling radiant beams of joy over what Chris Cenac and Dillon Mitchell were able to show during summer league. Except for the 3-point shooting, Mitchell is Mazzulla-Ball personified. Take an all-out chaos disruptor going full send after every offensive rebound and match that energy with otherworldly athletic ability? Yes, please. Especially since the Celtics were notably lacking in both areas last season.

If the rookies have me feeling buoyant, Hugo Gonzalez has me feeling a different kind of way. We’ll explore his growth and other offseason developments after that paywall.
