The Current State of Fire

The United States is currently experiencing Extreme Drought, record low snowpack, and unseasonable fire behavior

Thirty states are currently categorized as 75% or above “abnormally Dry.”

These states include Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Virginia, and Wyoming.

What’s striking to me about this list (which doesn’t include all states, you can find that list HERE) is the geographical breadth, spanning several regions. Most regions in the United States are experiencing some level of acute and prolonged drought.
