Fiona Bridges · Flying High in Appalachia

Hey y'all! I'm in Chicago!

Here's my first blog update…it's going to be quick. I am exhausted.

Got to the airport 3 hours early because I don't have my star ID. The Internet made me think I'd have to wait a while and tonget to the airport like 3 hours early and bring everything with my name on it. I just paid $45 and they looked at my license. So we are lunch and I read and my husband played on his phone.

I bought Revenge of The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell at the airport lobby but I'm not reading it yet. I'm currently rereading Dean Koontz Odd Thomas. Got halfway through it today. I love it so much. Saved some quotes I want to quote in my novel so I may have Levy pick it up at her mom's house when she goes to visit. It influenced my story so it makes sense.

The plane ride was okay despite them claiming a bumpy ride. And I spook easily on planes.

When we got to the rideshare my husband's phone GPS wouldn't update do it would not trigger the lyft. We got a taxi. My husband was so slow. He had to vape like 15 minutes before he could function enough to figure out the ride situation but he insisted on taking care of it because his work was paying for the ride. It was hot outside. But apparently a cold front is coming in tonight here. Everyone in Chicago so far that we've encountered has been super nice.

When we got to the hotel our room wasn't clean yet. We checked our luggage into a luggage drop off and caught a Lyft to a fun store to get fun things…

Then we went to eat at restaurant called The Art of Pizza.

We shared a delicious oreo milkshake at Devil Dawgs and headed back to the hotel.

I'm currently doing my physical therapy exercise of laying on my stomach with a pillow under my hip.

I'll have more exciting things to write about tomorrow.

I'm about to get some from my hubby. Tomorrow night is a Cubs game!
