I hope your July included some stitching and finishing. I spent the month enjoying a lot of family time.
Without getting *too* sappy, I just wanted to tell you how profoundly grateful I am to each and every reader and subscriber as this little community has given me this gift of time with my family. While my inbox has a few too many unread messages (I’m working through!), I had one heck of a month.
This month, we continued to bring beginner friendly finishes to the club but we also launched our new Soft Finishes Track with the help of instructor Darci McKinnon. Read more about Darci here and grab her first pillow tutorial “How to Make a Knife-Edge Self-Welt Pillow with Mitered Corners” here.
One of the things I love most about The Needlepoint Finishing Club is the community of instructors. We partner with some of the best finishers around to make sure you are getting the best of the best and learning from others.
I also launched new On-Demand Courses this month for folks who are searching for a specific topic, want an intense deep dive of everything you need to know but aren’t looking for the breadth of the club necessarily.

Club or On-Demand Course?
The Club is where we go wide on a variety of finishes, gather, ask questions, and keep learning across every kind of finish. The course is the deep, sequential version you own forever and can rewatch whenever a step trips you up.
Launched our Green Machine Cording Anchor ($52) which creates a built in jig and holds your Lacis. While I try to keep the content here strictly educational, I am sharing here as I know many members wanted to snag one. We get 10 at a time, so quantities are really limited! These are the brainchild of our team mate Carrie’s son Will and we’ve had a blast collaborating with him on this. Your support supports his business too.
First we hosted a Patch Applique Finish Along to give you more ideas about how to finish your favorite canvases - not everything needs to be an ornament! Patch girl summer.
We also hosted a super popular Choose Your Own Adventure Finish Along focusing on all things ornaments! Check this out for how to finish an ornament. I give tips and tricks on special shapes, rounds and squares.
Our first new tutorial in the track (because we do already have some soft finishes!) is a Knife-Edge Self-Welt Pillow by the amazing Darci McKinnon.
As we turn the corner to back to school, I wanted our August schedule to be two finish alongs that work together to get you even further in your finishing journey.
This finish is SUPER important to conquer as it is the basis for any project with cording that requires an invisible join.

Finish Along Aug 26 & Sept 2: Special Shape Gusseted Standup

This finish along focuses on all things gusseted standups and builds on the skills you’ll learn in the August 11 Beginner Finish Along, too. We will construct a freestanding, glue-free 3D finish that sits beautifully on a shelf, mantel, or entry table.
Can’t make the live finish alongs? Don’t worry, we will post the recordings after the class, right on the article referenced so you can always find it back. Also keep your eyes out for new tutorials coming to the club in August!
