Film Daze Issue 01 (Coming Soon)

Greetings,

Thank y’all for all of the support so far this year and prior years. Today, we want to announce that we are returning to our zine/Patreon-inspired roots with quarterly issues (5-7 essays). Each issue would be released as a free read, but each essay would be published as soon as it is ready for our paid subscribers. Essentially, this means that after this month, all of our new essays will be behind a paywall. This way, readers have an incentive to donate or subscribe without punishing our overall reader base.

Festival coverage will continue alongside our film recommendation of the day and other features.

Some of our most-read features over the past year came from guest writers, and as the written film criticism declines, we want to be a bastion for diverse and underrepresented voices.

For issue 01, pay will be $120. Issue 02-03 will be $150, and Issue 04 and onward will be $200 based on our paid subscriber base at the time. We are fully committed to at least four issues as a publication. The first issue will be released on June 21st, with a submission deadline of June 1st. The submission page can be found here
