Artist Domenica M. Garcia spent two years making work centered on crying in public — and this is the culmination: a release party for her conceptual zine Mar de Lágrimas. The zine transforms the cellphone (an object defined by intimacy and privacy) into a physical book that circulates publicly, weaving internet art, poetry, and pop culture into a meditation on how private emotion becomes public spectacle. Bring your tears and tissues.
