I’m loathe to start things off with an apology, but in this instance it genuinely feels warranted: I’m so sorry for the gap in my posts here! I’ve been juggling a lot (running my business, client work, the animals, visitors, literally just day-to-day life, etc) on top of cosplaying general contractor nearly every night in the guest room—so it’s been hard to put pen to paper, so to speak, when my brain is totally fried at the end of the day. I’m sorry to have been MIA the last couple weeks.
Before we dive into all the design ideas swirling around my head (and all the elements where I’d love your thoughts), let’s do a brief update about the current status of the room itself:
As you can see, the space looks pretty damn similar to how it looked in my last update—but with many, many more coats of drywall mud.
I’m currently in Drywall Purgatory which is essentially that super-cool, not-at-a-stressful period of time when one obsessively muds and sands and muds and sands and muds and sands drywall and is quite literally held captive by one’s ferocious attention to detail.
But let’s talk about why we’re really here today: my design plan for the Guest Nest makeover!
