I've been a bit busy attempting to change the world over the last 4-5 years.

First off, don't for a second think that I'm being dismissive of the pain, loss, and anxiety most of us around the world are experiencing during this time of Covid-19 pandemic.

In case you’ve been so busy shielding your mountain compound against high altitude nuclear EMPs for the last couple of years that you’ve missed it, let me reiterate–the rules for writing and publishing have been burned and rewritten so many times, they no longer exist.

If you have followed Fiction Vortex and/or StoryShop for very long, you've probably noticed that we're sorta into episodic storytelling.

While those of us not content with buffet-style subscription reading services such as Kindle Unlimited should certainly not make the mistake of assuming we are the inevitable winners in this war over the future of storytelling and narrative fiction, we also should not make the mistake of assuming we are alone.
