Something that never occurred to me about The Nanny as a child, but that I find amazing now, as a parent, is that when the show begins, these children are all too old to have a nanny. I know this from glancing around, and from the fact that local Facebook groups have had a couple recent posts from families recommending nannies who are leaving them now that their youngest is starting junior kindergarten, aka is 3 or 4 years old. (Junior kindergarten where I live is just a part of public school, and because of the starting ages being a bit different from in the States, is more like preschool.)
