Unofficial action figure news from everybody's unofficial favorite indie toy lines! Got a new release, custom part, or toy drop coming up? Let us know! adam [at] 16bit [dot] com
While not explicitly Glyos-specific, while on my break, I did get a new toy I needed to share with you all. Target has a Jurassic World Reimagined All-Terrain Capture Pack , and it has this weird sci-fi armored not-a-Warthog in it. It's actually pretty incredible - the interior has been compatible with every figure I've thrown at it so far, including the very bulky Infinite Pheyden/Anti-Pheyden.…
I jumped on the Armorvor Standard Liocarrus . For those just joining us, his body has been used for dozens of figures. The lion head is new. I have a resin casting of the prototype head from ages ago, but they made a lot of changes to it - like cleaning up the hair, and adding an eye patch. It's a surprisingly dynamic rendition of a Glyos head, looking a lot like a piece of comic art come to life.…
New! Healey Made dropped 2 new Glyos figures - Raider (Screaming Star) and Raider (Sky Grey) are up for $25 and $20, respectively. Presumably he will be the new leader of your Raiders. I've missed some surprise launches lately, so I would not recommend relying on this blog as your sole source of launch truth, which presumably you weren't, so good for you. I had the Neo Granthan Nemica Enforcer for over 10 years, and didn't write the review or shoot the figures until recently. It's a good figure, riffing on classic trooper figures from science fiction and of course, Battle Beasts . The bulky armored 2 3/4-inch figure is incredibly wide, making use of the traditional helmeted Armorvor head as well as the then-newish Neo Granthan head. It looks a…
I found Bluestar Astrodite to be a great thing and something from the Ironic Punishment division of toy making. I love glow toys, I love The Outer Space Men , and a few orders in 2023 proved to be too much of a good thing. She sat in a box in my photo room for a few years despite being every bit as good as her peers. The $15 figure was marked down to $10 - unusual, as many figures go up in price…
It's new! Well, it's a new head. The Armorvor is back at Onell Design, this time with a lion noggin. Also, it was late. Three flavors of Lion Armorvor were up, including a surprising return of the original Venjorun model - this time with a spare Lion head. Also the Four Horsemen Travelers were up, if you missed those, making this an ideal jumping-on point for these toys. Click here to see what's…
Update: the drop will now be Friday, February 27 at 9:30 PM EST. Well there's a surprise! Feral Futures come to pass Thursday night at 9:30 PM EST. So mark your calendars for February 26. There isn't much to go on, other than a feline head on what seems to be an Armorvor body - so this should be fun and exciting. I have an old The Godbeast resin head that looks a little like what I'm seeing here,…
I started taking pictures of the unnamed freebie Versirran Crayboth back in 2012, with another batch in 2023, but never wrote the review. As far as I can tell there's no Glyos Wiki page for the "stowaways," the free figures Matt Doughty sometimes includes in shipments at no cost to remind you that you should always order something. Back in 2012, the Crayboth had been around for roughly four year…
I bought a lot of figures I was missing a couple of years ago and have been slowly opening them. I assume it's unlikely we'll get many more of these guys, so Bluestar Cyclops is something to be savored... and also taken for granted. There are just so many of them that it was hard to really take them all in, even though they're amazing little things on their own. The entire Bluestar series is 19…
I ordered the Glow Vector Jump (Armor Kit) back in 2017 not realizing it wasn't a full figure - oopsies. I would later place the armor on a green Lime Material Boy that I got with the Mikros Regen Capsule [FOTD #2,114] earlier that year. It's a good fit, don't you think? If you didn't have a spare Knight of the Slice in glow handy, you can put this glow armor on pretty much any of those basic…
I probably won't keep buying all of these guys in every color (especially with two figures being stow-awayed as pieces) but I couldn't say no to Infinite Anti-Pheyden Scaphoidian . (Or the Origin one.) Why? The mold's great, and the colors reminded me of one of few toys I had as a kid, sold, and regret - the Construx purple alien figure. The Sarvos head reminds me a lot of that helmet. [ READ THE…
Given time and inflation, Onell Design manages to keep most of its stuff surprisingly affordable. Pheyden Prime was $12 in 2023, only $2 more than a similar 2019 Pheyden Regeneration figure. And for that $2, you got stuff - this figure is effectively similar with slightly different paint applications, and a vest, and some pins, and a scarf, and a blaster hand. That's $2 well spent. [ READ THE FULL…
I've bought lots of Glyos figures and some of them get reviewed immediately and some like Pheyden Regeneration sadly take while. Since they tend to sell out immediately I'm not necessarily in a huge rush - it's not like you can go buy it from the original source. Or eBay, much of the time. Produced in the low hundreds, these guys have been in production - in different colors - since 2007. The…
They're back! The Manglomortis has a new flavor and it's in stock at the ToyFinity shop . Click here to see the newest stuff, which include a bunch of parts and heads as well as some very lovely Phrangoss colored figures.
It's new! After an A/V Robot last year, ItemLabel has its first Pibipon figures up for grabs . They seem to be roly-poly and surprisingly versatile builds with enough parts to delight the cat/Furby/creature fans out there. The glittery red DC Formanchie Jelly is particularly bouncy looking. Click here to check availability .
I missed out on the clear pink guy - all I got were legs so far - but I did get Infinite Anti-Pheyden Phrangoss . It's really nice. Sarvos was $18, Pheyden was $20, and Phrangoss was $22 - each figure has escalating paint applications. It's also worth noting each figure has unique paint masks with some shared elements. Silver Sarvos has the fewest, with all-red eyes and some other red markings.…
You wanted Callgrim ? Here it is! A new Custom Corps drop is up in the store, with hand-painted figures based on the popular How the Grinch Stole Christmas TV special. Well, not "Grimch Stealth," he's a production figure. Click here to see what's left.
Sharing all the same parts as his two wave mates, Infinite Sarvos Buildborn is the silver redeco that matches surprisingly well with over a decade's worth of other silver guys. If you collect Glyos, a big part of the appeal is the scale and the compatibility. Well, we've lost a little scale in recent years, but you can easily swap parts between figures of all sizes and wind up with some wild…
A nifty new mold - which you've seen in a few colors. The first version of this figure was the Void Sectavorian , cast in translucent black glitter plastic with red eyes. I like it, and I'll probably buy one or two more depending on which colors we get. I really like this one, especially if you plop a silver head on it. It looks pretty amazing, reminding fans of the 1980s toy world just how many…
It's incomplete! Announced on the 13th and dropped on the 14th, it was almost completely sold through before I even knew there was a drop. According to various posts online, a bunch of white figures like a new version of the white Armorvor Vortrooper MK II, Frontier Pheyden MK III, Glyarmor Enforcer MK II, and a really nice Kaisyriax Phrangoss that I honestly would have loved to get. It looks…
A different version of the character was sold in resin quite a few times, but the Void Mothman Monstor is its PVC debut. And brother, is it a deal. It's a big, beefy figure with three alternate heads. The spider head has four sides of faces - sure, there are only two of them, but it's pretty amazing all the same. You get wings, you get open and closed claw hands, andit matches numerous similar…
Supposedly the last The GodBeast drop for a while is up now! Click here to see what's left of several figures, including figures with bonus Armorvor bits and a whole lot of green. And silver. And some pearly whites. It's that time of year, so give your friends the gift of Glyos and let them wonder what is wrong with all of us. It's great for the toy collector that has everything... but doesn't…
While details are scarce, Marty "The GodBeast" Hansen confirmed on social media that more Buildborn silver figures are on the way! Mark those calendars for Friday, December 5 at 8:00 PM Central.
The never-ending Glyos drop train continues! Knights of the Slice updated Saturday with at least two new products - the Tunnel Knight, and the Hera/Kyle Bugman. Some older items are still available as well. Click here to see what's available .
Wave 20! I missed a few. The Velgerian Squellenzar Alpha (unpainted scented) sold out in under an hour, but the painted fellows were still available. Click here to see what's still in the Spaced Out Design shop .
