Why Does State Department Want To Hide From FOIAs?

If you are a State Department employee and especially if you were fighting the COVID-19 shot mandate, you need to listen up.

You have 10 days to save all your documentation.

Department of State has implemented policy that will purge emails prior to 2020. Personal Storage Files (PST) used to save your email won’t help and archive folders are also scheduled for destruction.

This purge will be on a regular basis and although F4F believes it may be a violation of the Federal Records Act, they intend to keep it as a reoccurring fixture.

Why?

Well, State Department employees working in Global Engagement Center (GEC) were involved in censoring the speech of law-abiding Americans and they seemed absolutely gleeful to have the opportunity to trample over the religious and bodily rights of everyone, including State’s own employees.

Can’t have those pesky records lingering too long and risking losing some of the worst of the worst employees…

Hey President Trump, are we still de-weaponizing or was that just a thing you promised on the campaign trail?

Could be other reasons, right?

We submitted FOIAs to State five years ago … still waiting. I’d say it was to avoid FOIAs, but they haven’t bothered to adhere to FOIA laws for a half decade.

Just to be on the safe side, we’ll keep it on the list of reasons for now.

We intend to reach out to State and let them explain how destruction of federal records are legal and what measures they are taking to preserve necessary documentation. We will also ask them to define necessary documentation.

In the meantime, you can save your emails by dragging them into a folder on OneDrive. It is slow and cumbersome to drag them in bulk, but it gets the job done.

Short but sweet little post and we don’t have all the answers, but we wanted to make sure the word got it as soon as possible.
