DAYLIGHT SAVINGS IS SO CLOSE!!!!! I can’t wait for the sun to be out at 6pm and later. truly so so over the long dark winter. we’ve almost made it!
Lots of changes have been happening lately - I had the incredible opportunity to work on a bunch of NYFW shows, and have been continuing to take on tailoring work and custom projects in the weeks following. I’ve made some solid progress on my collection, and I’ll even have time for some classes this month. Check it out below…
I’m so excited to return to HomeEc NYC for another Patternmaking 101 Masterclass! The first run was a major success, and I’m so glad that we’ve been able to add TWO more dates to the calendar.
The 3/14 workshop only has 2 seats left, and the 4/11 one currently has 4. They’re going fast, so make sure to grab your spot before they fill up again!
Starting up in March, I’ll be teaching TWO portfolio-based classes with The Fashion Class. These classes are designed for high schoolers with the goal of applying to fashion undergraduate programs to help build their skills and designer POV.
Mondays on the UWS - Fashion Illustration, where students will learn how to draw the fashion figure and render fabrics in marker and colored pencil
Thursdays on the UES - Fashion Design, where students will learn how to find and develop inspiration into a unique fashion collection
The Sketchbook Series is back this month with a design prompt - stay tuned next Friday for your creative prompt of the month, and don’t forget to join the chat so that we can all share and support each other’s work!

In February, I finished the (seemingly never ending) task of beading 85 flower appliqués for the dress in this sketch! I shared a video of how I finish/secure my beaded artworks so that they’re ready to be transferred to the garment, and you guys liked it a lot :’)
Today (if I can finish it all in one go) I’m sewing the appliqués onto the mesh dress, and then this month will be taking on the challenge of the lingerie set - excited to check another piece off the list for the collection!
