HAPPY APRIL! here’s me and my florals for spring dress just trying so hard to manifest some warmer weather. Why is it still 40 degrees??? that makes no sense. Anyway, excited for lots of fun events this month!
I’m so excited to return to HomeEc NYC for another Patternmaking 101 Masterclass! Learn how to draft a bodice block to your own measurements, and we’ll also cover the basics of pattern manipulations, giving you the foundational skills to pattern your own designs.
If you already took the Patternmaking Masterclass, I have more good news! We’re also offering a Patternmaking 102 course - where we will cover sewing, fitting, and adjusting your pattern so that you have a completed set of blocks that fit you perfectly. I’m hoping to launch a self-guided virtual tambour beading course where you can learn the foundations of tambour and bead your own flower (from my viral dress). YAY!!! Still in the final stretch of this piece, but sooo close to done! I ended up needing to bead 20 more flowers to finish, so that set me back a bit. The flowers are now sewn onto the base, and I tried it on my friend and it almost cried (in a good way).
Next up will be creating the lingerie set to go underneath and the look will be complete!
I was planning to start and finish a whole new look this month, but my schedule is starting to fill with freelance projects that I need to prioritize. Sounds like that one may need to be for May :)
