Built with MidJourney and Black Forest Labs, it lets users remix images into short videos, complete with music and filters. It feels playful, but critics fear what it represents: a future where even “authentic” content is algorithmically imagined.
Days later, OpenAI unveiled Sora 2 — calling it the “ChatGPT for creativity.” Instead of scrolls, it’s aiming for stories. The model adds realism, synchronized sound, and even convincing cameos. More than that, it comes wrapped in a creator app that feels less like research and more like reinvention.
Sam Altman’s statement reads almost like a manifesto for humane technology:
“We want users to spend time if they think it’s time well spent — but we don’t want to be paternalistic.”
Meta wants to capture your attention.
