[INTRO] "Good evening, I am Black Feather. This is the Sovereign Rhythm Republic. Welcome to the Wounded Knee Lounge, Salt Lake City. Tonight, we’re addressing a past but still modern historical tragedy. The loss of our dignity, humanity and claimed racial and cultural superiority, the ultimate failure and ruin of our civilisational mission and ambition. But let's start where I began:" [VERSE 1] I rode a range with my fathers I heard the old trails speak But the dirt beneath these fences Was home long before me The names were there in the river In the hills and in the stone Then boots came down like judgment And said, “This land is ours alone” [Pre-Chorus] They call it law, call it order Call it a banner of light But a lie can wear a clean coat And still be wrong at night [Chorus] Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? Telling them to vanish Then calling that just Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? When the wound still lives In the ground and the dust [Verse 2] They were chased from their own fires From the rivers and the corn Sent away from sacred places Like their prayers were something worn And the ones who preached their virtue Who said they stood for right Built a nation on their silence Then locked their children out of sight [Pre-Chorus] You praised your schools and your churches Your papers, your pride, your flags But you broke the bones of justice Then wrapped them in your rags [Chorus] Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? Telling them to vanish Then calling that just Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? When the wound still lives In the ground and the dust [Verse 3] I’ve read the books they wrote for us With the winners in the frame Always “civilized” and “chosen” Never one word of blame But the prisons were called reservations And the hunger had a name And the law kept turning backward So the guilty stayed the same [Bridge] I asked forgiveness from the nations Still standing through the pain For what my bloodline carried For the losses and the shame I don’t want their hollow honor I don’t want that borrowed dream If this land means theft and silence Then it’s not my country to claim [Final Chorus] Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? Telling them to vanish Then calling that just Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? I want to stand as brother If you can’t, I’ll walk the dust [Outro] I came to your table humble I came with open hands If I cannot be forgiven I will leave this promised land [OUTRO & CODA] "Thank you, everybody! Give it up for the Rhythm Republic!
