Bath to mark 90th anniversary of Ethiopian Royal Family’s arrival with a significant programme of commemorative events

We complete the review of an outstanding 2025, and look forward to 2026, the 90th anniversary of the Imperial family’s arrival in the city of Bath.

Part one of two: here's a first taste of life at Fairfield House in 2025.

This month we thank volunteers and businesses that work here, spread the message about HIM's legacy to Wells Cathedral and Bath Spa University, celebrate refugee culture, and more (as ever)

Pauline hands over to Norma, Black History Month, Fairfield House in top 10% globally, HIM's wallet acquired and more

Bath Refugee Festival; HIM's legacy day; University "partner of the year"; special visitors

Ethiopian Victory; Heritage Fund project under way; new Partnership Board; visit from the Ethiopian deputy foreign minister and a mention to the King. Plus: an award for Ras Habakuk

Month of music, celebration and sadness as we look to make key appointments and even get the drive (slightly) fixed.

Globally respected pianist Girma Yifrashewa comes to Bath in March. He plays Bath Abbey Fri 7th. Plus: applications for three Fairfield House job vacancies are open until Fri 21 Feb.

We're hiring three new roles, with Heritage Fund support. In other news: we get to see HIM's other Fairfield House (and it's very different); Toni Swaby is the new Bemsca chair.
