It’s been a relatively quiet few weeks publicly, but there’s still plenty happening behind the scenes at Fair Care Idaho.
While we may not have major legislative developments to report this week, we’ve been hard at work preparing for what comes next.
One of our biggest projects right now is preparing our 2026 candidate outreach and survey efforts.
We’re reviewing community feedback, refining questions, and getting ready to begin outreach to candidates across the state. Our goal is to help families better understand where candidates stand on disability rights, Medicaid, HCBS, caregiver workforce issues, and access to care before Election Day arrives.
We’re excited to share more as this project moves forward!
We’re also spending time pursuing grant opportunities to help support and sustain Fair Care Idaho’s work.
Like many small nonprofits, a lot of what we do depends on volunteer effort and community support. While we continue exploring grant funding opportunities, donations are always welcome and help us continue providing information, research, outreach, and advocacy resources to Idaho families.

We also wanted to share an upcoming webinar from Idaho Supports Medicaid and the Idaho Center for Fiscal Policy.
Both Medicaid and SNAP will see changes over the coming year that could impact eligibility and enrollment, and this webinar will provide an overview of what families need to know.
