Dressing for the part

Here’s a little bit about the character designs for “my” Archie. It pops up again with this interview with the writers of this reboot, which isn’t exactly a reboot because it doesn’t start over.

It simply starts.

It’s interesting for me to know what the other artists involved expect from this project. Still, it’s always a little weird to talk about something nobody has seen yet, trying to make people curious about what we wish to achieve when the only thing we have to show is the drawing above.

It’s much easier to talk about a book everybody has seen, so to finish this letter of interviews, here’s a good one. I offered to go to Brian Bendis and John Siuntres’ book club conversation about Daytripper. It ended up a really nice conversation about starting out, pitching ideas, the patience required to stay in our business, and then we get to a lot of what we were expecting to do with Daytripper, and how much more we got to accomplish when the story was done and out in the world.
