The months are violently screaming by and I’ve been working on all kinds of projects. Most recently, I designed a shirt that’s on sale at Black Dragon Press until the end of this month (May). 100% of profits will be donated to the 'Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't' Texas Thornscrub Sanctuary and Rewilding Britain.
There are a few houses on my street that have “killed their lawns” and dedicated the space to native species, and it’s really something to see the variety of plants bloom when spring hits. Anyway, two color options are available for this shirt - white on green and green on white - and these are released alongside a design by the excellent Teagan White. So yeah, kill your lawn. Don’t forget your allergy medicine.
On a different note:
A month or so ago I spent quite a few hours building a custom synthesizer case / stand. I’ve wanted to make a road case for years, and after doing so I now know why people buy them already completed. So many rivets. So much adhesive. But, I needed a real custom situation to fit my needs and this was the only way. Luckily it turned out better than I hoped! I made a video of the process:
There’s no talking in it - only some music I made and construction sounds. Niche content for sure. I was searching for something like this and couldn’t find it, though, so maybe it will be useful to other synth weirdos out there who run into the case/stand/effects pedal problem.
