Kicking off Spring with a Butterfly Rainbow series inspired by my #1 girl who has turned ONE this week….
There are a lot of things I’ll remember about our first year together—the first smile, the first laugh, and the first time she clapped. Daily strolls to get coffee after barely sleeping. But I will especially always remember reading her If I were a Butterfly over again and again—so much so that I can recite it by memory and if you asked me to capture our first year in a painting, it would be filled with butterflies.
Creating this Butterfly Rainbow series on her birthday felt like a fitting way to mark her one year. Not just because it became a favorite book of ours, but because it was also a year that, like butterflies, was filled with change and growth.
I hope these works capture how joyful and transformative one year of Margaret has been. Painted in a rainbow of watercolor hues, the butterflies are meant to feel celebratory- fluttering with the magic that comes with watching a life unfold. I hope the works bring happiness into the homes they land in, just as this year has brought into mine.
The collection includes a mix of originals, limited time only fine art prints, bibles, and plates.
This month’s free download features a print from the series!
