TED Conference 2026!

Hello my beautiful community.

I just finished attending the last ever TED conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. For twelve years my home city has hosted the big kahuna, the main event of the TED world, and now it is moving to San Diego. For those of you that don’t know what TED is, it’s a global community based on bringing the brightest minds together to discuss the biggest ideas of the day and to find solutions to the biggest problems we face. TED is an inspiring, powerful, polarized (in the best way) and profound mover of capital from the hands of the wealthy to the people on the ground doing the hardest and most important human and planet-helping work. This was my first TED conference and I felt incredibly excited to receive the invitation to attend. I rearranged my life at the last minute to fly to Vancouver and accept this generous and incredible gift that TED were offering me. I flew in not knowing what to expect and skeptical that the event would feel as special and meaningful as it was meant to.

So, what was my experience like and what were my take-aways?
