My mind has been swept up in the English countryside lately. (Not a bad place for my head to be 😉.) We’re hosting Cotswolds by Design later this month, plus I’ll be launching next year’s Cotswolds trip this month, too — and as always happens when I’m deep in planning a trip, I’ve fallen a little bit in love with the place all over again. Gardens, antiques shops, and beautiful, slightly eccentric interiors that look like they’ve been accumulating forever.

So of course, this edition of 10 Things has taken on a very English feeling. I hope you don’t mind.

Here are ten things I’ve been loving lately —

1) Is there anything better than a home tour? This video shows not one, but four of them, all within the charming rolling hills of the Cotswolds. Consider yourself warned: you might lose an entire afternoon.

2) “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” — William Morris. Exactly what I had in mind when I brought this cheerful little thing home from the Cotswolds last summer. It now holds our toothbrushes and makes me happy every time I see it.

3) Je t’embrasse très fort. Just got reminded of this duet by two iconic British singers. (Thanks to Amy Poehler + Billie Eilish, lol.) If you’ve never seen the music video, do yourself a favor.

4) My cup of tea. Cozy, layered spaces will always have a place in my heart, and this book is just oozing with that kind of style — the kind that looks so haphazardly thrown together in English country houses, and yet somehow, isn’t.
