How have you been? My family and I are just coming out from under a two-month stretch of household sickness — colds, flu, sinus infections, the works. I’m hoping we’re finally on the other side. The trees around town, which were completely bare not long ago, are starting to erupt in soft pink and white blossoms, and that feels like a good sign.
Somehow, I’ve kept my New Year’s resolution to read a book instead of scroll my phone in the morning. After finishing Devotions by Mary Oliver and Good Inside, I’m now reading Sally Mann’s Art Work: On the Creative Life — and I highly recommend all three.
Work-wise, I’m deep in preparations for my spring trips, welcoming travelers into next year’s Provence and Belgium by Design trips, and just hosted a little gathering for local travelers at Anna’s European Antiques — such a hidden gem of a shop.
And of course, I’ve been curating a few beautiful things to share with you here. So here’s the latest edition of 10 Things I’m Loving Lately.

– If you’re planning a trip to the South of France — or think you might be someday —don’t miss my Provence design guides (part 1 and part 2). I put so many hours of research, in-person scouting, and thoughtful editing into these, and included recommendations from local friends as well. Honestly such a valuable resource.

Here are ten things I’ve been loving lately — all from the South of France, all beautiful, inspiring, and a little beyond the usual clichés.
1) Are there bucket lists for clothing?
Everything is hand-dyed, and the pleats are painstakingly folded by hand as well. Each piece — and really, the brand as a whole — feels like a work of art.
2) “He’s good-bad, but he’s not evil.”
My love affair with this particular genre of French pottery has not ended. Its weirdness just draws me in, in the best possible way.
3) This might be paradise.
Emilie Joly Johnson has a gift for finding the most stunning hidden spots along the coast.
4) The Provence hideaway of a French movie star.
Elegant, effortless, colorful, and layered in all the right ways. This house in Eygalières is a masterclass in the art of decorating. (The antique green paneling!)
