This week I talk about a scenic train journey from stunning Montreux to gorgeous Gstaad. This breathtaking panoramic railway is affordable and comfortable. You get a real feel for the Alpine landscape, scattered with chalets, cows and glacial streams.

Spending a week in Geneva, I took advantage of the free trams and took a chance to travel by coach to beautiful nearby Annecy. One highlight was a scenic funicular which lifted us up a mountain to view the Alps in the distance.
