Most mornings, I forget I used to want this as my ordinary day.

The light comes through the curtains the way it always does; gold, unhurried, a little theatrical, because Miami doesn’t really know how to be subtle about beauty, and I have stopped asking it to be. I wake without an alarm most days. Not because nothing is required of me, it’s that my life is no longer arranged around urgency. That was a decision. Everything here was.

I wake up slowly. It takes me one hour to get out of bed after opening my eyes. I stand at the window while my morning coffee brews and listen to my soft morning playlist, and somewhere in that stillness I remember, briefly, the way you remember a dream; that I used to imagine this exact scene. This window. This slow living. This quality of unhurried air.

And then I forget again, because it is simply an ordinary day now.

That forgetting is the whole point of this piece.

Most of what is written about wealth creation and manifestation gets this backwards.

You have been taught to feel rich. To visualize the house and let the excitement flood you, to rehearse the thrill of the money arriving, to generate the joy of the wish fulfilled, as if the intensity of the feeling were the measure of your alignment.

But the essence of rich is ordinary. Truly, almost disappointingly ordinary, and every attempt to make it feel like more than that is distance. To inflate the feeling is to create the gap. The moment you make richness special, you have located it outside yourself, somewhere above your actual life, glittering at an altitude you now have to reach. You have turned a fact into a fantasy. And fantasies, by definition, are things you do not have.

What no one seems to mention is that excitement is the tell of distance.

Thrill is what the dream life feels like from outside of it. It is the signature of the woman in the window. The you that’s already her in essence, in the settled interior fact of it, does not feel euphoria when she imagines the life. She feels something far more dangerous to the industry that profits from her seeking: she feels nothing. Nothing remarkable at all. The house is simply her house. The wealth is simply the air. The imagining is almost boring, the way your own kitchen is boring.

That internal ordinariness is the secret that’s not so secret.

Rich, in the way I mean it and live it, was a fact I settled into so completely that it stopped producing sensation, the way you cannot feel a temperature you have fully acclimated to. It existed in me, in the way I moved, chose, spoke to myself, tended my body and my desires, long before the external life caught up to reflect it back. And when the life did manifest, it did not feel like winning. It felt regular, like walking into rooms I’ve lived in for years.

This is why I forget, most days, that I used to want this. The forgetting is the mechanism, the proof that somewhere along the way, the dream stopped being a dream to me internally, long before it stopped being one externally. In that order. Always in that order.

Neville Goddard taught that when a woman assumes the feeling of the wish fulfilled, not affirms it, but lives inside it as a boring fact, the universe reorganizes itself around her knowing. Even if it takes a thousand people to make it possible, he said, it shall be done.

I have watched this be true, year after year, in ways that still surprise me. Nearly everything I have ever dreamed of has been delivered by someone else. Doors I did not knock on. Rooms I did not ask to enter. People I had not met yet, already moving toward me, carrying pieces of a life I had simply refused to stop imagining.

The universe does not ask you to carry it alone. It asks you to be the kind of woman it can work through.

This day, this ordinary, golden, unremarkable day is what that looks like from the inside.

One day, I decided to leave everything behind in Houston and start a new life in Miami. It was scary. I did it anyway, and underneath the fear, I was excited, which is how I have since learned to recognize a true decision from a safe one.

I sold everything I owned within two weeks. Packed what remained into my car and drove here, deliberately taking the long way, stopping in different places, letting the road trip be part of the ritual. I wanted to feel the distance. I wanted my body to understand, mile by mile, that the old life was genuinely behind me.

At the time, I thought I wanted a new life.

I had no idea I wanted a new me.

This is the teaching hidden inside every “leave your hometown” experience, and almost no one sees it until after: the city or place was never the point. The freedom I was driving toward was not Miami. It was in the act of allowing myself to leave, the permission I gave myself, granted at last, to stop being the version of myself my hometown had already decided on. Leaving was metaphysically symbolic of breaking an agreement.

Every woman has a Houston. A place, a role, a version of herself that everyone around her has agreed she will remain. And the life she wants is not waiting in some other city, it is waiting on the other side of her willingness to break that agreement, wherever she happens to be standing when she finally does.

I just happened to need the ocean and palm trees to understand it.

Every Sunday, I open another page of Ethereal Girl Diaries. Inside, you’ll find rituals worth stealing, gatekept recommendations, spontaneous masterclasses, and energetic shifts I’m exploring way before they become podcasts or programs.

And if you’re ready to embody the energetic principles behind everything you’ve just read, Empress Academy is where you master them. It’s my private school devoted to identity, feminine wealth energetics, and the unseen architecture that shapes reality.

*Notice how boring my ordinary days are*

I wake just before seven most days, no alarm. Some days I sleep until ten, and I let myself.

I do not have a morning routine. I’m against them, actually. A routine is something you perform on yourself; mechanical, borrowed, executed whether or not you are actually present inside it. A ritual is something you enter. Same actions, sometimes. Entirely different frequency. One is maintenance. The other is devotion.

My mornings are protected absolutely. Do not call me. Do not text me. The people in my life know this. The morning belongs to the self before it belongs to the world, and the not-negotiating is itself part of the practice.

Before caffeine, before the phone, before the world, I have one non-negotiable law: move energy. Qi gong most mornings. It’s the slow, strange, beautiful work of circulating life force. Ten to twenty minutes, barefoot, usually near the window with the water in view. If you have never tried it, it will feel like doing almost nothing. That is the effortless nervous system regulating point.

The first beautiful thing I consume: ceremonial-grade matcha, in a bowl I love. I am particular about this, the matcha itself. The ritual of preparing it is half the medicine. Calm, focused energy with none of the cortisol spike, which matters enormously when your entire philosophy is built on keeping the nervous system soft enough to receive.

Most mornings it’s coffee instead, made slowly on my espresso machine, because rigidity is its own kind of poverty, and I refuse it everywhere, including in my cup.

Here’s the one I write in, and I am strict about this.

Two entries, daily, without exception:

The top three things I am grateful for. And who the day receives.

That second one is the secret. Who arrives to it, no “to-do” lists. I decide who I am before the day has a chance to decide for me. Then I write down the two things, only two, that matter most in the business today. Not ten. Two. A rich life runs on precision, not volume.

Movement happens around one in the afternoon, always, though what kind depends on the day.

This is the part of my life people are sometimes surprised by, but for me, movement is manifestation. I mean that literally. The body is the instrument through which every desire becomes a three-dimensional experience. It is the receiver. Caring for it is not a wellness habit. It is the maintenance of the very channel everything arrives through.

So I train like I understand that.

Pilates sculpt, three times a week: (My studio essentials: the grip socks, the top I practically live in here.)

The gym, on the days between.

Every day, without exception, I also take creatine gummies. One of the simplest things I've added for supporting strength and recovery.

I do not train to earn anything. Not food, not rest, or worthiness. I train as an act of self-adornment. The same impulse that reaches for the perfume and the silk reaches for the reformer and the wraps. It is all one gesture.

Magnetism lives in the body or it does not live at all.

After training, the long shower, something beautiful to eat, and then the afternoon opens, and here is the most esoteric thing about it.

Every day, I am in one of three currents: neutral time, output, or input.

All three are necessary. Living in only one of them falls out of flow, no matter how devoted you are, and most are living in one, permanently, and wondering why the frequency keeps slipping.

Time is flow, and it has three states.

Output is creation. Writing. Recording Ethereal Girl podcast. Brand deals. Building inside Empress Academy, the work that moves the world around me. Lately, output looks like something new: currently, I’m creating a magical app, the philosophy you are reading right now, built into something you will hold in your hand, and some new content for instagram. I have not had this much fun making anything in years. Output days have a particular electricity to them, I am transmitting, and I can feel it, and I ride it as long as it is genuinely there and not one moment longer.

Input is receiving what you don’t yet know. Reading. Studying. The museum, the film, the long conversation that rearranges something in me. Walking through a beautiful hotel lobby for no reason except that beauty is data and I am collecting it. Input is the filling of the well that output draws from, and a woman who only produces without replenishing is running her frequency on fumes.

Neutral time is the one nobody teaches, and the one that changes everything. It is neither producing nor consuming. Sitting by the water with no book. The long drive with no podcast. Cooking slowly with music on and no destination for the thoughts. Neutral time is where the universe gets a word in, it is the silence in which delivery happens, the open channel with nothing moving through it except availability itself. Every significant thing that has ever arrived in my life announced itself first in neutral time.

It’s my favorite. The moment I understood this, any guilt I had around resting disappeared. Rest is one of its most potent expressions. It’s where the superconscious mind has room to move, connect, and create what the conscious mind cannot.

It’s also why I’ve written things like girls, just be lazy and women should be useless. In reality, there are seasons where the most magnetic thing you can do is take a nap, be available, and allow life to meet you. So often, you attract the most when you stop trying to manufacture every outcome.

I do not schedule which current a day belongs to. I read my energy in the morning, this is partly what the journal is for, and I honor what is actually true rather than what the calendar would prefer. Some days are pure output and I’m creatively on fire. Some days I input Substack, walks, study, books, and movies for six hours without guilt. Some days are almost entirely neutral, and those days used to terrify me, and now I understand they are the most productive days I have.

My afternoons are deliberately unassigned. This is not the same as unplanned. This is a decision, held daily, that the afternoon belongs to whichever current is actually running.

Some afternoons that means my standing beauty appointments, facials, a massage at the spa. I keep these the way other people keep board meetings. I genuinely believe that if you cannot lie still and let yourself be cared for, you will negotiate with every larger form of receiving the same way. The table is practice.

Some afternoons it is the flower run, a long unhurried wander through the market touching things I have no intention of buying, the drive with the windows down and nowhere to be. And here is the thing I have noticed, I never plan to create in the afternoons, and yet the afternoons are where half my content is born, filmed mid-wander, written mid-thought, because desire-led creation is the only kind that never runs dry. I do not force the work. I let wanting lead. That is the entire secret of why I always have ideas, and it is a secret because it cannot be systematized.

Somewhere in there, I check deposits for the day. How you check money is a diagnostic of everything: I read my sales as a mirror and I do it intentionally. If I have even the slightest low energy that day, I give it a moment. Sometimes I’ll write five “Isn’t it wonderful” statements until my body softens, and only then do I open the dashboard. I’ve made it a ritual.

When the numbers rise or dip, my first instinct is curiosity: What have I been creating? What have I been sharing? More importantly, who have I been being? The correlation has never once failed. The business is downstream of the self. Every time.

And lately, afternoons include actual reading, spiritual, literary, occasionally something strange and mystical, or Investing & business books. (The book on my table right now, linked here.)

There is nothing urgent in any of it. No mental checklist running underneath every moment like static. When I decided richness was essence, this is mostly what changed, the nervous system inside me. The objects followed.

Quick break to mention that I never woke up one morning thinking about how lucky I am, because that thought belongs to a version of me that still believed luck was the mechanism. It never was. The mechanism was decision, held at the level of identity, maintained in the body, kept like a vow through every season where the outside world had not yet caught up.

The dream life, once you are inside it, is not a dream at all. It feels much quieter than you imagined. More ordinary.

The first thing I do when the light starts to turn: candles. Always. The one burning most nights lately, the scent has become the signature of this hour of my life, and I am convinced the body learns to soften on cue when the ritual is consistent enough.

Then dinner, which is either out, or made slowly at home with music on, a glass of something lovely, and no destination for the thoughts. Some of the richest evenings of my life have been the unphotographed ones: the mulberry silk robe (best decision ever), the sky putting on its last dance over the water, a meal that took exactly as long as it wanted to take.

My sheets are linen (these are the ones I swear by). I spend nearly a third of my life in bed. It deserves the same intentionality as everything else.

The evening skincare is the morning adornment in reverse, slower, if anything. The cleanse, the treatment I am currently devoted to, and the face serum. I sleep on silk pillowcases because the smallest luxuries, repeated nightly, are how the body learns what standard it lives at.

There is no scrolling through other people’s lives at this hour. I am not looking outward for evidence anymore. For a long time, that was the hardest habit to break. I loved doom scrolling. I loved consuming beautiful lives while feeling it as a sign that mine was waiting somewhere in the future.

Now, the first thing I reach for is my journal and a playlist of jazzy instrumentals. It sounds simple, but it has changed my life. My attention belongs to me again.

The evidence is no longer on my screen. It’s the ordinary, unphotographed moments that somehow end up becoming the richest ones. They remind me that the essence was always the point.

Ironically, becoming this present made me stop documenting my life for a while. As a creator, I swung so far toward living that I almost forgot to share. But I’ve finally found my balance.

I’ve learned that almost anything can be beautiful with the right boundaries.

So you’ll be seeing more of me again on socials, because I genuinely love creating. The difference is that now, the moment comes first. If I capture it, perfect. If I don’t, it was never any less meaningful.

xx,

Rose
