Here, though state-level politics somewhat buffers my family from the rollercoaster that is the USA at 250, we’re still in the capital region blast radius. And here, in the shadow of Mordor, we feed seniors and walk them as often as they can stand it. We sip tea and coffee, care for the animals, listen to music, or watch sports. I read, edit, and paint. I write.
