Imagine your interior life as a large house: your daily life unfolds on the ground floor. Errands walk in and out through the front door, thoughts and feelings about your current partner(s) and children play in the living room. Ruminations about work bubble away in the kitchen.
Take a moment to survey your own house. Notice what lives in each room. Spend some time in the entry way: notice if there is anything out of place, anything causing you to trip when you cross the threshold.
