What is your morning routine?

I love the mornings, and I get up every day between 5:30 - 6am. I immediately tongue scrape and brush my teeth, wash my face, put on my red light mask, then take our golden retriever, Charlie, outside and get her fed while my coffee is brewing. I take off my mask and do my skincare, keeping it pretty streamlined with just a few super effective products. Huge fan of ERLY’s Daily Dew Illuminating Serum—it gives my skin that healthy glow that makes makeup feel optional.

Then I have my essential quiet solo time—this is probably my number one mental health tool. I grab my coffee, journal, and whatever I’m reading, and settle in for my power hour that includes prayer and meditation, then usually some reading and journaling. I also use this time to write down my top 3 priorities I want to get done that day. I try to stay off email and social media and create a sense of calm before the rest of the world starts asking things of me.

What are you enjoying most this summer?

After many years of renovating a house in Malibu, it’s been so special to be here with our family for the first summer. Being so close to the ocean has changed the entire rhythm of summer for our family. I’m loving morning walks by the beach, sandy feet, and simple dinners outside. After such a full season of moving and construction, I’m craving less structure and more room to follow the energy of the day.

What does confidence mean to you?

Confidence is trusting myself enough that I don’t need to perform or over-explain—I can stay firmly in my authenticity. It’s knowing who I am and what matters to me—and letting my choices come from that place instead of from how I think I’ll be perceived.

With time, I’ve also realized that confidence is deeply connected to presence. When I’m rushing or comparing myself, I feel disconnected from myself. When I slow down, look people in the eye, and really engage with the moment I’m in, I feel grounded. To me, that’s a much more magnetic kind of confidence than perfection could ever be.

What’s your favorite ERLY product? The Daily Dew Illuminating Serum. I love skincare that makes an immediate difference in how my skin looks and feels, without adding another complicated step to my routine. It layers beautifully under my moisturizer and gives that lit-from-within glow.

I’ve also been using the Night Moisturizer with Peptides as the final step in my evening routine. I love ending the day with something rich and nourishing, then waking up with skin that still feels soft and hydrated. What’s a skincare lesson you learned early on that has stuck with you?

Consistency matters so much more than having an elaborate routine. What you do at home every day is going to affect your skin more than the occasional in-office treatment. I would much rather have a handful of products I love and actually use than a bathroom full of things I’m constantly cycling through.

I’ve also learned that skincare goes far beyond what you put on your face. Sleep, nutrition, hydration, and stress management all show up in my skin. There’s no serum that can fully compensate for being exhausted and stressed, so I try to think of beauty as part of how I care for my whole self.

What has changed most about your view on beauty with time?

These days I find beauty to be more about the overall energy someone brings into a room. It’s less about a wrinkle, a perfect brow, or whether your skin looks flawless—and more about curiosity, warmth, and how comfortable you feel in your own skin.

Don’t get me wrong, I love skincare and makeup and find so much joy in looking my best. But now I see those rituals as a way to care for and express myself, not fix myself. The older I get, the more I believe that real beauty comes from taking care of your body, staying open to the world, connecting with other people, and bringing an energy that makes them feel seen.
