of memories and experiences of life in music and on tour. It’s really for me, and if I share something of interest to you on occasion that would be kewl too. Time marches on so fast.
She was such an earnest pursuer of knowledge and an incredible writer and sharer of the wisdom she found within and without. I am traditionally, and maybe permanently, unfocused and I was lazy about paying deeper attention to what she offered in her work while she was here. I think you might say that is a normal dynamic for a parent/child relationship, but I feel like I grew out of that too slowly. She had a profound impact on the lives of so many people and I want to continue to share her work so that people can continue to find it.
My own showing up consistently feels like a way to honor her. She encouraged me so much in my art and would be excited for me to commit to this effort. She loved for us to celebrate our work. She believed in what I do and passed that optimism and belief onto me. Now I want to be like her and WORK consistently.
AND if you have saintly levels of patience with horrible grammar, this might be of interest to you.
To start, I guess I wanna share some things I loved seeing or hearing this year.
