If you’ve known me since 2020 or later, you’ve very likely seen me wearing one of my babies in a Solly wrap. I found this company in 2020 after giving birth to my first daughter, and as a result, got to know the founder, Elle Rowley.

I used to sit in my rocking chair overlooking the small courtyard in our apartment complex while feeding my brand-new baby, watching the “wrap tutorial” videos Elle used to post weekly on the Solly Baby Instagram account.

After “mastering” the wrap, I kept watching those tutorials because Elle always shared little nuggets of wisdom within those seemingly straightforward videos. She offered encouragement for new moms during the pandemic, which was a very isolating time to give birth, and always left me feeling seen, capable, and comforted.

Over the past five years, I’ve continued to follow and learn from Elle. She’s shared about homeschooling her four children, life on her homestead in California, writing a children’s book, and more.

Through her, I discovered other women who have shaped the way I mother my girls, including artists and mothers like Loré Pemberton.

After Elle and I both started podcasts this year, I wrote her name at the very top of my “dream guest” list in my journal. For months, I recorded and released episodes, planning to eventually work my way up to inviting her on. Then one day, shortly after giving birth to my third baby, I decided to spontaneously DM her on Instagram. I figured… what’s the point in waiting? I just wanted to reach out and see if she’d be willing to join me for an episode.

And she did!

It was truly a dream come true to speak with Elle. The conversation was even more heartfelt and emotional than I imagined. She shares so much wisdom from her time at Solly Baby to her decision to step away and pursue new creative callings.

It’s a must-listen for all mothers and entrepreneurs. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
