New Workshop + Upcoming Comedy Shows

I honestly can’t believe how much love and support I’ve gotten from the DC community on this new business of launching my own comedy classes. The first two classes SOLD OUT. Thank you, truly.

How you start a scene shapes everything that follows. In this workshop, we’ll focus on crafting bold, dynamic initiations that instantly set the tone and energy of your scene — whether it’s grounded, game-forward, or completely chaotic (in the best way).

I’m also planning to start sharing essays about comedy — improv, sketch, performing, and teaching — all from my own experience doing this weird, beautiful thing for over a decade.
If you’ve ever taken a class with me, you know I love breaking down why something works comedically. So expect deep dives, behind-the-scenes thoughts, and reflections on what it means to play truthfully and hilariously. Is there a topic you are interested? Let me know!

The Ultimate Queer Game Show. Comedy show hosted by The Carmichaels (comedians Krystal & Samiyyah Ali) that will pit two teams competing for the Queer Championships. Get ready for a night of Queer trivia, Queer news, and of course - tons of laughs! Tuesday Oct 21, 8pm. DC Arts Center.

The Character Show: Solo comedy showcase featuring original characters, monologues, impressions, and everything in between. Wednesday Oct 22, 7:30pm. DC Arts Center.

Bad Medicine: Halloween-themed edition of Bad Medicine’s sketch showcase! Saturday Oct 25, 7 and 9:30pm, DC Improv.
