Season’s Greetings!

As I write to you for the first time in this edition of Data-Sharing Decoded, I want to extend my heartfelt thank you to everyone for your warm messages and best wishes for my new role.

Why Equal & OneMoney?

In a market where most industry participants adopted a fragmented approach, Equal & OneMoney took a different view: Data deserves its own lifecycle, not a handover.

Acquire it. Process it. Analyse it. Unlock actionable outcomes from it.

As more and more financial institutions (FIs) deploy AA solutions, the fundamental debate has become clear:

Should FIs preserve a fragmented partner landscape, or move towards a unified stack?

Today, most implementations still look like this:

  • One partner for AA

  • Another as the TSP

  • A third for analytics

Flexible? Yes.
Efficient? Not quite.
Reliable? Rarely.

AA data is raw, structured differently across sources and requires purposeful processing.

In fragmented setups, this intelligence is delayed.

In a unified stack, analytics is closely coupled with data, enabling comprehensive creditworthiness insights, PFM intelligence and personalisation.

Unified systems significantly reduce drop-offs by keeping orchestration seamless, leading to higher fetch-success rates and smoother customer journeys.

Why integrate three systems when you can integrate one?

A unified stack cuts months of contracting, onboarding, and compliance reviews, accelerating digital lending, wealth and PFM launches.

Multiple vendors expand your data perimeter.

A unified stack confines everything within a controlled environment, making audits cleaner and compliance simpler.

Unified platforms create bundled pricing and significantly lower total cost of ownership.

As AA matures, competitive advantage will shift from data access to data intelligence.

Those who consolidate their AA, TSP, and analytics functions, will move faster, build more resilient systems, and deliver better customer experiences, all while maintaining regulatory confidence and cost efficiency.

E-Rex insists Santa is the original architect of a unified system.

His logic?

“Nine reindeers, One sleigh. One route. One night.

If Santa can unify operations, so can we!”

Well… we didn’t argue.
