I have now taken possession of my first EV. It’s a Cupra Born, the Seat variant of the VW ID 3.
It’s a lease (salary sacrifice via NHS Fleet) and my first new car after some 4 decades on this planet. Turned out to be the ’26 facelift as well, so that was unexpected given the order date.
Pretty swift, cheaper to run than the diesel Mazda 6 with all manner of technical whizz bang nonsense. A bit complicated, but it’s got Apple Carplay so that neatly sidesteps all the in-built bits. And DAB!

I was busy penning a missive to B4RN to beg them to tell me when they were going to finally get round to blowing some fiber through. A quick check on The Better Internet Dashboard showed that B4RN had in fact scheduled some roadworks for the 8th, so that neatly answered that question.
