What is producing the heat?

There is a 2 kW portable industrial fan heater under the floor. So, this will cause a noticeable spike in my electricity bill. So a more sustainable solution would be to tear apart the entire floor together with the support structures and rebuild everything ensuring more efficient ventilation and possibly adding other structural improvements to keep the conditions unfavorable for the fungi. But I'm afraid it will take several years until I feel like having all the resources for such a renovation.
