We're Going to Hollywood, Baby

Here is the link to the piece in Variety! But the real story is that sometimes miracles happen when you go on Watch What Happens Live. There I was, in my pink suit, scared that I would be asked to make a real drink (I wasn’t), and just trying not to be a dim-bulb on television! Andy Cohen introduced me and held up my book and said. nice things about it. That would have been enough!!! But the way Elisabeth Moss whipped her head around to look at me when Andy described my book was something to behold. She came up to me as soon as we finished filming and said, my producing partner is sitting in the front row, we need to read this book, it sounds perfect for us. Which was such a nice thing to say!! But people say nice things all the time!! I gave them the two copies I had in my bag and I didn’t expect to hear anything, oh, ever again! I thought she was just being kind! Oh, how sweet, a novelist pretending to be a bartender!! But NO! They called on Monday! Less than a week later! And here we are!!! I leave you with my very favorite Elisabeth Moss performance, though I think we can all agree that there has never been a bad one, not ever.
