The other intended effect of the violence was implementation of no-cash policies. Smash-and-grabs, break-ins, and armed robberies in which cash was stolen, nudged businesses in the direction that the Tech Overlords desired.
USE CASH when you can. AVOID businesses like Sweet Greens, who take plastic, ApplePay, or GooglePay, or whatever. One day, your data will be used to tell you ‘NO, you may not have another hamburger this week. You have reached your limit on meat.’
