Last Friday, I was in such a race to get the newsletter off before the kids got home from school that, in typical Emily fashion, I screwed up the one thing in it having to do with numbers (never a strong suit for me): the date I’d love to coordinate a luncheon meet-up with any of you who are in or around Oxford, England.
In case you missed the announcement, I’m heading to Oxford in late September to attend a conference hosted by The Symbolic World podcast, and since I am traveling sans family (an unprecedented event around here), I thought it would be fun to have lunch with any readers in the area.
Right now, the plan is to meet at noon, on Thursday, September 24, NOT Wednesday, September 23, as I initially said. Location is TBD. I am going to a pre-event for the conference at 3 p.m. that afternoon, so that will give us plenty of time to hang out before I head off. If you are interested in meeting up, dm me here, and I’ll make sure you have all the information as plans come together.
And for those who’ve asked, no, I am not speaking at the conference. Just going as an attendee because the topic has a lot of bearing on my next project and Chris is insisting upon it (and who am I to argue with that) . Anyhow, DM me to let me know if you’re interested in lunch!
Also, this will be the only time I show up in your inbox this week, as I will be taking a rare week off to address some pressing personal issues. I will be back next week, though, with a fresh set of answers to reader questions and maybe a fun announcement or two. Thanks for your patience! In the meantime, here is our latest, super fun conversation on Visitation Sessions about creativity and the creative process.
